Dragons, Ladders, and Elmo Oh My!

Aiden has finally figured out that taking his breathing treatment isn't so bad. Yesterday morning he actually fell asleep on my lap while taking it. Now he'll sit an watch a cartoon while he waits for it to be finished and cartoons seem to keep him entertained for the twenty minutes. When they brought the Nebulizer machine they also brought a mask that looks like a dragon to use.
I was doing laundry yesterday and turned around and Aiden had climbed up the back side of the ladder and sat down on top of the high chair. Now you know why we took his rails down on his bed.
Aiden brought his Elmo chair into the den and pulled his blanket up. It was too cute not to take a picture of.

Doctor Visit and a New Toy

Aiden had to go to the doctor Monday for a cough and an excema flare up and left with a new toy. Aiden has developed a asthma which we hope he will out grow, but until then he has to have three treatments each day. We had our first at the doctor and he was not happy about it at all. We have been playing with it so that it won't be as scary.
We needed to find some quiet activities to play today, so we painted. Mommy and Daddy playing with the camera.

Swimming at Ellie's House

Aiden has been working on blowing bubbles in the water this summer.

Ellie has an underwater camera that we tried to take a few pictures with. These are the only two we could get before Aiden decided he didn't want any more pictures.

Aiden loves playing in the pool and isn't scared of the water at all, which can be a problem sometime. Today we had our first fall in the pool. He remembered to hold his breath and didn't choke on the water at all and was happy when we fished him out. Mommy and Daddy were pretty unnerved, but Aiden didn't seem to mind.

My sister Lauren and her little boy Gavin came to visit us this week. Aiden had a wonderful time terrorizing him, but Gavin seemed to enjoy it and just laugh. We can't wait till they come back!
Daddy and Aiden having a little fun with the camera!
This was Gavin's walker that Aiden wanted to play with. He got in all by himself and found his doodle board to play with.
Aiden is a climber and I didn't want to wait until he climbed out of his crib and fell on his head to take the rails off. So we took off one side and he now has a BIG BOY BED! He's done really well it only took us two nights for him to get use to it.
Aiden and Ellen hanging out coloring on a Friday night.
Aiden also turned 18 months old last week. He is starting to say more and more words and it won't be long before he's talking in sentences.

Connor's Visit

My good friend from Austin came to visit us this week. We had lots of fun playing with her and Connor. Aiden really loved him and we had to keep reminding him to be gentle and that Connor wasn't as big as Aiden. We can't wait till the next time we get to see them.

Connor after learning to sit up. What a happy baby!
Connor and Frog

We were getting ready to go to Grapevine Mills Mall and while I was drying my hair Aiden broke a bottle of fingernail polish.

Aiden thought Connor's walker was for him. He put a ball in the seat and then sat on top of it. Sarah and I were looking through clothes for Connor and noticed that Aiden was being really quiet and this was how we found him.

Here are a few more pictures from this weekend. Yes Aiden is taking a bite out of a really large block of cheese. This was all Daddy's idea. Our friends from Austin, Sarah and Connor, are comign to visit today, so I'm sure we'll have lots more pictures of the boys.

Fourth of July Weekend

4th of July would not be complete without a BIG RIB to eat!
If you can't tell he's flexing his muscles!

I decided that I would repaint the hallway since it hadn't been done and Aiden took a piece of tape and started taping the molding like I was.

This has become Aiden's favorite thing to do, take Travis's hats and glass and put them on. He has even learned to put them on by himself, aways with the hat backwards.
